New Project: Distribution Network Investment Optimization
Within the scope of the project, our “Distribution Network Investment Optimization” algorithms working integrated with DIgSILENT PowerFactory, which we have successfully developed as in the scope of the “Development of Metrics and Algorithms for the Optimization of HV Substation and MV Grid Investment Needs based on Capacity Increase” supported by EMRA of Türkiye, will be implemented to the GDZ Electricity Distribution Network.
These algorithms are;
- DISCO / Province / District / HV Substation based econometric energy (MWh) and peak demand (MW) projection algorithms,
- HV Substation based zonal s-curve demand (MW) projection algorithms,
- Technical loss based optimum network investment algorithms,
- Technical loss + SAIDI + SAIFI based optimal grid investment algorithms
We took our place with our stand at TÜREK 2023.
We took part in the 12th Turkish Wind Energy Congress (TÜREK) with our stand.
We evaluated the modeling and simulation solutions we offer within the scope of grid connection and compatibility analyzes of wind and solar power plants and storage & hybrid renewable power plants with our stakeholders. The best news of the congress was that we were deemed worthy of the “Data Solutions Leader” award. We would like to thank the Turkish Wind Energy Association (TÜREB) for the organization and all the participants who visited us at our stand, which attracted great attention.
FCR, AVR, and PSS tests in Cenub Power Plant – Azerbaijan
We performed FCR, AVR, and PSS tests successfully in Cenub Power Plant of Azerbaijan. Scope of the tests is to improve frequency and voltage regulation performance of the power plant, and thereby, to be ready for hosting large scale renewable power plants in Azerbaijan power grid.
A new project agreement with Çalık Enerji
A new project agreement is made with Çalık Enerji; “Grid impact analyses of Kiyanly NGCC Power Plant in Turkmenistan”. Scope of the project includes not only technical aspects of the power plant to the grid but also impact in terms of CO2 emissions by replacing the old power plants in the country.
Launch of project report
Our report titled “Turkey’s Decarbonization Road Map – 3: Calendar of Transformation, Geographical Distribution and Effects on the Electricity Grid” was launched on 21 November 2023 at Mövenpick Hotel Ankara. The study is coordinated by Istanbul Policy Center and supported by the European Climate Foundation. The scenarios in the study are analyzed with market and network simulator algorithms developed by EPRA Energy.
“Data Solutions Leader” award goes to EPRA Enerji
EPRA Enerji is qualified as “Data Solutions Leader” at the Türkiye Rüzgar Enerjisi Kongresi (TÜREK) 2023.
We participated to Inavitas Users Days 2023 in Ankara
We participated to the 5. Turkish-German Energy Forum in Ankara
We participated to the 5. Turkish-German Energy Forum held in Ankara this year with the aim of strengthening cooperation on the transition to a climate-neutral energy system and developing joint projects.
Meetings with project stakeholders in Baku – Azerbaijan
After a tiring week, we finally drafted results of our project “Grid Modelling, Analysis and Training of AzerEnerji for the Integration of Renewable Energy Sources to Azerbaijan Grid” and presented the key results to stakeholders at the AzerEnerji and Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan.
Visits to the major power plants in Moldova in the scope of Moldova Energy Security Activity (MESA) Project
We visited the major power plants in Moldova in the scope of “Energy Security Activity (Ancillary Service Certification Process under MESA Project – Phase 1)” to collect data for dynamic controllers of the units and investigate on-site model verification and ancillary service certification testing capabilities. Thanks to Tetra Tech MESA Project team and SE Moldelectrica for the kind hospitality.
