PSS Tuning of Orhaneli Thermal Power Plant

Proper tuning of controller parameters of power plants is critical to improve stability of power systems. Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) and Power System Stabilizers (PSS) are among those critical controllers. Their parameters should be tuned properly to maximize damping performance of the power plants.

Çelikler Holding chose quality of EPRA for this purpose in Orhaneli Thermal Power Plant. It is aimed to test damping performance of the generator against local and inter-area oscillations, and tune the parameters of the PSS to maximize its damping performance.
