Development of a Grid Connection Assessment Tool for Distributed Generators

The Project is funded by Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) of Türkiye under the R&D Support Program for Electric Distribution Companies. Scope of the project is to develop a decision support platform for distribution companies in Türkiye to investigate impact of distributed generators (DG), particularly PV solar, to distrbution grids. The platform enables the distribution companies to address; i) The best locations for new grid integrations in terms of annual technical losses and voltage deviation concerns in the grid; ii) Impact of a new DG connection in terms of annual technical losses and voltage profile; iii) Optimum reactive power support settings of existing DGs to support annual technical losses and voltage profile.
