Transition of Azerbaijan Power Grid for Hosting Large Scale Renewables

Scope of the project includes;

• Identification of rehabilitation (frequency & voltage control) requirements in major power plants;
• Technical meetings & discussions with power plant controller manufacturers regarding controller rehabilitation requirements;
• Controller parameter setting optimization studies;
• Developing test procedures for power plant tests and participation to commissioning tests of after controller rehabilitations;
• Modification of DigSilent PowerFactory dynamic models of the power plants after rehabilitations;
• Identification of monitoring and control (SCADA, AGC, WAMS, WACS) and software needs;
• Battery Management System (BMS) design.
