A new project agreement is made with Çalık Enerji; “Grid impact analyses of Kiyanly NGCC Power Plant in Turkmenistan”. Scope of the project includes not only technical aspects of the power plant to the grid but also impact in terms of CO2 emissions by replacing the old power plants in the country.
Our report titled “Turkey’s Decarbonization Road Map – 3: Calendar of Transformation, Geographical Distribution and Effects on the Electricity Grid” was launched on 21 November 2023 at Mövenpick Hotel Ankara. The study is coordinated by Istanbul Policy Center and supported by the European Climate Foundation. The scenarios in the study are analyzed with market and network simulator algorithms developed by EPRA Energy.
EPRA Enerji is qualified as “Data Solutions Leader” at the Türkiye Rüzgar Enerjisi Kongresi (TÜREK) 2023.
After a tiring week, we finally drafted results of our project “Grid Modelling, Analysis and Training of AzerEnerji for the Integration of Renewable Energy Sources to Azerbaijan Grid” and presented the key results to stakeholders at the AzerEnerji and Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan.
We visited the major power plants in Moldova in the scope of “Energy Security Activity (Ancillary Service Certification Process under MESA Project – Phase 1)” to collect data for dynamic controllers of the units and investigate on-site model verification and ancillary service certification testing capabilities. Thanks to Tetra Tech MESA Project team and SE Moldelectrica for the kind hospitality.
Like many distribution companies (DisCo) in Türkiye, Toroslar DisCo preffered solutions of EPRA for integrating its Geographic Information System (GIS) with DIgSILENT PowerFactory power system simulation software. Python based algorithms developed by EPRA for this integration not only enables power system analyses with the update GIS model of the grid but also contributes automatic identification of the missing / incorrect data and semiautomatic correction in the GIS Systen which is critical for other analyses as well.
