With Tetra Tech and SE Moldelectrica, we completed the first phase of the ancillary service performance tests of major power plants in Moldova in the scope of “Moldova Energy Security Activity (MESA) Project”.
EPRA Energy is qualified by Litgrid for a new project: “Support for Functionalities of the Frequency Stability Assessment System (FSAS) of Litgrid”.
We made a site-visit to substations to see pilot implementations of the “Differential Protection of Underground Cables based on 5G Technology” project with the Boğaziçi Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş. Project team
Our paper, “”Decarbonization of the Turkish Power Sector towards Net-zero Emission Targets”, which presents methodology and results of the project coordinated by İstanbul Politikalar Merkezi | Istanbul Policy Center and supported by European Climate Foundation, is published by Energy Journal, one of the most prestigious journals in the field (https://lnkd.in/gfvFEEHJ).
Çalık Enerji preferred the quality of EPRA Energy for the grid connection and compliance analysis of 70 MW Zatriq WPP – Kosovo Wind Power Plant.
We participated to “Green Energy Systems and Integrated Technologies” panel organized by the TURKISH ELECTRIC INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION (TESAB) and CIGRE Turkey – Akdeniz University CIGRE Student Club and talked on “How Can Green Energy Production and Green Energy Consumption Support Each Other?”
We discussed that we will need more electricity load during the daytime for the safe connection of more PV production to the grid; How can charging of electric vehicles be promoted during the hours when PV production is high (smart charging)?; How electric production by PV sources can be curtailed for grid security if the required load does not appear?; How the charging load of electric vehicles can be controlled in case of sudden PV production losses (cloud effect)?; What kind of market mechanisms, legislation and technologies will be needed for all these solutions?
Borusan EnBW preferred the quality of EPRA Energy for the grid connection and compliance analysis of Balabanlı & Pelit Wind Power Plants. Modelling and simulation analyses will be performed by DIgSILENT PowerFactory.
We are excited to announce our new project with Consus Enerji: “Technical & Economical Feasibility of a Grid-Scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Türkiye Electricity Market”. Scope of the project includes the following studies;
